Black K.A.R.E Pop-Up Clinic Speaking Engagement


Founder Candice Stephens was a featured guest speaker at the Black K.A.R.E Pop-Up Kidney Klinic, hosted by The Links Incorporated—Macon, GA Chapter, at Greater Allen Temple AME Church. This event brought together a community dedicated to kidney health and wellness, and Candice shared her journey and insights to inspire proactive health management within the Black community.


Alongside Candice, additional experts addressed key health topics. Dr. Kimathi Blackwood, a nephrologist, provided critical information on kidney disease, while Dr. Michael Ealy discussed the impacts of hypertension and diabetes. Certified nutritionist Shon Hackett led a cardio workout, emphasizing the role of fitness and nutrition in maintaining kidney health. The speakers delivered a powerful message on health, wellness, and community support.
