Transplant Games of America 5K Walk

On July 6, 2024, Founder Candice Stephens and Katie Dixon, both kidney and pancreas recipients, participated in the Transplant Games of America 5K Walk in Birmingham, AL. The event brought together transplant recipients, donors, and advocates from across the nation to celebrate the transplant community's strength, resilience, and camaraderie.

The Transplant Games of America is a biennial multi-sport event that honors the legacy of organ and tissue donors, celebrates recipients’ second chances at life, and raises awareness about the importance of organ and tissue donation. Through athletic events, community engagement, and storytelling, the Games inspire people to register as organ donors and support transplant initiatives.
